This spring, the Berkley Center, CNDLS, and the Lab for Global Performance and Politics collaborated to pilot a new undergraduate fellowship opportunity focused on dialogue across differences. The Doyle Dialogue Fellows Program is designed to foster a culture of dialogue among participants and equip them with skills to engage in—and ultimately lead—constructive encounters among a wide range of diverse constituents on critical issues both on-campus and beyond. The program also functioned as an informal laboratory for students and the facilitators to collaborate, exchange insights, and experiment with new approaches to engaging productively across differences. In this session, students and facilitators share their experiences with this pilot semester and invite participants to consider ways this program might connect with their teaching and learning environments in the future.
